The Faculty of Social Sciences and Education and a PhD in Educational Sciences, invited to the conference entitled "Teaching Practices and Curriculum Design in Higher Education," which will feature Dr. Angel Diaz Barriga .

Angel Diaz Barriga, Mexican, Doctor in Education with honors from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, UNAM, is Research Fellow attached to the Institute for University Research and Education (IISUE). He is a member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences, the Association Francophone de Recherches Internationales de l'education en Sciences in Paris and the Mexican Council for Educational Research.

Dr. Angel Diaz Barriga has a nationally recognized work on issues of curriculum, assessment, policy in the field of higher education.

The conference will be held on October 30, 2009 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm in the Aula Maxima of Law, University of Cartagena.

The event is open to the public but are especially invited: teachers and researchers in the field of education.

The Doctorate of Science in Education RUDECOLOMBIA Cartagena University will hold a school day, 26 and October 27, 2009.

In the context of this conference is conducted by the Curriculum Committee Self-Assessment and National Directors of CADE part of the ten universities that comprise the State University Network of Colombia (RUDECOLOMBIA) formed by the Universities of: Atlántico, Caldas, Cartagena, Cauca, Magdalena, Nariño, Quindío, Tolima, Colombia and Technological Pedagogical and Technological Pereira.
